Initial spec discrepancy on width tolerance — resolved satisfactorily
Our first order of 1018 cold drawn flat steel (30mm x 12mm, 2 tons) showed a small number of bars measuring 30.08–30.12mm width — slightly outside the advertised ±0.05mm tolerance. We raised the issue with the technical team who responded within 24 hours, arranged a re-inspection of remaining stock, and issued a partial replacement shipment at no cost. The replacement material was within spec. The resolution process was handled professionally and quickly. We've since placed a second order and quality control appears tighter. A positive outcome overall.
