Minor Thickness Variation Resolved After Communication
Ordered 18 tons of hot rolled flat bar in Q235B, 16mm x 120mm x 12m, for base plates in an industrial shed project. On arrival in Chennai, we found about 15% of bars had thickness running 16.6–16.8mm — slightly outside the EN 10058 tolerance for that size. We raised the issue with photos and measurements. The supplier responded within 24 hours, offered a fair credit note, and tightened QC checks for our next shipment. Second batch came through perfectly at 16.0–16.3mm. Appreciated the honest resolution. Continuing to work with them.
