Initial color mismatch resolved — quality otherwise acceptable
Ordered 55 MT of 0.42 mm PPGI roofing coils in Z160 coating with 20 μm polyester topcoat in a custom Pantone 7690C blue for a Melbourne industrial shed project. On arrival, CIE Lab spectrophotometry readings showed a ΔE of 2.8 versus the approved sample — noticeable under direct sunlight. I raised the issue with the sales team, who arranged a replacement production run of the affected 8 coils within 18 days at no additional cost, and the replacement batch measured ΔE 0.9. The resolution process was handled professionally. Zinc coating weight and mechanical properties were correct throughout. Will consider reordering once confidence in color QC is established.
