Ordered 12 tonnes of A588 Grade A plates at 16 mm for an industrial structure in Abu Dhabi. When the pre-shipment documentation pack arrived, the third-party inspection certificate referenced the wrong heat number — a clerical error. We flagged this immediately and, to their credit, the team corrected and reissued the full documentation set within 36 hours, prior to shipment departure. Material quality itself was fine — tensile and yield values on the MTR were within ASTM A588 limits. The issue caused a brief delay in our client's approval process but was fully resolved. Supplier responsiveness in fixing the error was good.
