On our first order of 22 tons of ASTM A36 plate in 8 mm and 12 mm, roughly 15% of plates in one pallet had surface scale that exceeded our as-rolled acceptance criteria for a visible architectural steelwork application. We raised this immediately with the team. They responded within 24 hours, offered blast-cleaned replacements at no additional charge, and expedited the corrected shipment within 10 days. The replacement plates fully met spec. The problem-handling was professional and transparent. We have since placed a second order with blast-cleaned finish specified upfront.
