Initial color variance issue — resolved after mill rerun
Our first shipment of 0.50 mm PVDF sheets in a custom NCS S 4010-B color showed a visible Delta-E variance of approximately 1.8 compared to the approved sample, which was outside our project tolerance of Delta-E ≤ 1.0. We raised the issue with supporting spectrophotometer data. The mill acknowledged the batch deviation, expedited a rerun to the correct color profile, and delivered replacement sheets within 14 days at no additional cost. The replacement batch measured Delta-E 0.6 — fully compliant. The resolution process was professional, but the initial quality control on custom colors needs tightening.
