Initial width tolerance issue — resolved promptly by supplier
Our first order of 10 MT, 0.40 mm GI Z120 slit to 820 mm width, arrived with three coils measuring 823–825 mm — outside the agreed ±1 mm slit tolerance. We raised the issue immediately. The supplier acknowledged the deviation within hours, provided a formal corrective action report, and arranged replacement coils shipped within 7 days at no extra cost. Subsequent coils were accurate. Product coating quality itself — gloss level, adhesion per ASTM D3359, and color consistency — was never in question. Supplier's after-sales response rebuilt our confidence and we have since placed a second order.
