Initial coil width variance — issue flagged and corrected
Our first order of 35 MT of 0.45 mm color steel coil specified 1,250 mm width for wall cladding fabrication. Upon arrival, we measured three coils running approximately 8 mm narrower than spec, which would have caused alignment issues during roll forming. We raised the discrepancy with the supplier immediately. To their credit, they acknowledged the variance within 24 hours, issued a credit for the affected coils, and arranged replacement material that arrived within 10 days at correct dimensions. Quality control on the replacement batch was verified and correct. Confidence restored — we have since placed a second order.
