Coating thickness was slightly off on first batch — resolved promptly
Initial order of 30 tonnes of 0.45 mm PE-coated sheet, Z150, for commercial wall cladding in Melbourne. Our QC team measured top-coat thickness at 13–14 µm on several coils, below the 15 µm minimum stated in the spec and ASTM A755. We raised this immediately. The supplier acknowledged the variance, provided a formal corrective action report within 48 hours, and arranged replacement coils at no additional cost. The replacement batch measured 18–20 µm consistently. Communication throughout was professional. Issue was resolved satisfactorily — rating reflects the initial shortfall, not the final outcome.
