What is Profiled Steel Sheet?

Profiled steel sheet refers to flat-rolled steel that has been formed into a defined geometric cross-section — typically trapezoidal, sinusoidal, or ribbed — to maximize structural stiffness and spanning capability. The base material is generally hot-dip galvanized steel, Galvalume (55% Al-Zn alloy coated), or pre-painted steel coil. Profiled Steel Sheet Manufacturing Process

Production begins with premium-grade steel coil, typically with a base metal thickness ranging from 0.3 mm to 1.5 mm, which is fed through a continuous roll-forming line comprising 12 to 24 forming stations. Each station progressively shapes the flat strip into the target profile geometry. For corrosion protection, substrates receive a hot-dip zinc coating of 60–275 g/m² (Z60–Z275 per EN 10346) or an AZ150 Galvalume coating.
